"It means that if the qi and blood are prosperous, you will survive all diseases and live until the end of life; and if the qi and blood are insufficient and stagnant, you will suffer from all kinds of diseases and decline in half a hundred.
The blood is like a river, irrigating every inch of our skin, transporting oxygen and nutrients to the whole body. People with anemia often look pale, have weakened immunity and are susceptible to infection. If you are pregnant, it will easily affect fetal development and increase the risk of premature birth and fetal death. This is true for humans, and so are animals, and experiments have shown that pigs have more severe anemia.
Foreign investigations and studies have shown that 75% of pig farms in the United States, Denmark, Canada, etc. have anemia and 20% of pigs have severe anemia (Hb<90g/L). Long-term high-intensity production and reproduction can also cause anemia. 80% of sows are anemia. In China, the phenomenon of pig anemia is more serious. This is why the current pig diseases are complicated. The pork is not as fragrant as before, and the flesh is not as ruddy as before.
There are four main reasons for anemia. First, pigs are intensively raised. They are like jail and are severely lacking in exercise. Second, pigs cannot touch the soil because there are "rare elements" that enrich blood in the soil. But it is not in the feed; third, there is no contact with green plants, chlorophyll (porphyrin) is an important hematopoietic raw material, which is also not in the feed; fourth, the sows are raised more and the pigs grow faster.
So, how to solve pig anemia? Many people think that anemia is iron deficiency and iron supplementation is enough. However, "Modern Nutrition" (seventh edition) shows that even if iron intake and storage are sufficient, iron deficiency will occur. This is because there may be insufficient hematopoietic materials (insufficient protein or porphyrin, etc.), weakened or impaired hematopoietic function, and ineffective use of iron. Just like building a house, bricks are not enough. You also need cement, steel bars, and mixers. In 2014, Professor Wu De pointed out in a study published in the International Journal of Livestock Science that when sows were fed a variety of organic iron mixtures, the blood iron concentration increased significantly, but the hemoglobin concentration did not change.
